Dollhouse Miniature Chocolate Nut Cupcakes

Hi Mini Friends,

Today I wanted to share some more cupcakes.  It has been raining and a little dreary outside, so I decided to make some yummy chocolate cupcakes.  The base is chocolate with a little vanilla on top.  I then added some chocolate drizzle on top with "nuts".  Lastly, I added a cherry for the topper.  I wanted something a little different and chocolate.

Miniature Dollhouse Watermelon Cupcakes

Hi Mini Friends,

Since Spring is here, I decided to make some light & fresh cupcakes.  I love watermelon, so I wanted to make watermelon flavored cupcakes.  I made the base of the cupcakes with a pinkish look and added "seeds".  I then made the top part of the cupcake with a light green clay mixed with a little white swirl to make it a little lighter.  It also makes the top look like the rim part of the watermelon, since it has shades of green and the white rim.  I love the final look.

Lemon Poppy Seed Dollhouse Cake

Hi Mini Friends,

Spring is here and it is so warm outside.  I have been making everything with fresh lemons. The smell of the lemons is so light and fresh.  So, I decided I needed to make something for the dollhouse.  My minis need a lemon dessert too!

I decided to make a 3 layer Lemon Poppy Seed Cake.  I love how the "poppy seeds" show once the cake is cut.  I made a light lemon icing.  I also added fresh lemon canes to the top.  They were really fun to make.

Dollhouse Miniature Easter Layer Cake

Hi Mini Friends,

This is another 3 layer cake for Easter.  It is made in 1:12 scale with a serving plate.  I left the top bare with no decorations for a freshly made cake.  I like the pink, purple and green colors.  It looks like mini Easter Eggs inside.

Dollhouse Miniature Easter Layer Cake

Hi Mini Friends,

Easter is only a few days away, so I decided to make  some colorful cakes.  Today I want to share a 3 Flavor Lemon Cake.  I decided to make this cake in 1:12 scale and attach the slice on a serving plate.  I did not add any decorative toppings because I love the look of the plain fresh icing.  It makes it look a little more like a freshly made cake.

Dollhouse Miniature Lemon Pie

Hi Mini Friends,

Ok, I am excited to show you these pies!  I have been having so much fun making different sized cakes.  So, I decided to try another favorite dessert treat...pie.  I think lemon meringue pie is such a nice spring time/Easter pie.  It is so light and fluffy, and so cute!

So today I have 2 pies.  The one on the left is made in 1:6 Play Scale and the one on the right is made in 1:12 One Inch Scale.  The meringue on the top is the hardest part of making this pie.  Oh, and the toasting of the meringue.  I think that I could have made it a little more toasty.  Oh well, next time.

Dollhouse Miniature Banana Cakes

Hi Mini Friends,

I have another treat for you today.  Actually, it is two treats.  I made 2 different banana cakes.  One in 1:6 Playscale and one in 1:12 One Inch Scale.  

Both cakes have 3 layers.  I topped the cakes with a banana cane.  I did cheat a little.  I just used a purchased banana cane and sliced it up for the topping.  The banana cane doesn't look as fresh cut.

Dollhouse Miniature Easter Scale Cakes

Hi Mini Friends,

Today I have a special treat.  I love love love making miniatures in different sizes to compare the items.  I decided to make a pink lemonade cake for Easter.  I wanted to make more than just one, so I made one in 1:6 Playscale and one in 1:12 One Inch Scale.

The one on the right is of course the 12th scale model.  The 12th scale takes so much less time to make than the playscale cake.  This was so much fun because I finally made a lemon cane for the cake.  I usually just purchase the lemon canes for the look.  This time I wanted to make the lemon look like it was just fresh cut.
